What about the Pensioners

Jack Jones

This pamphlet proposes that Pensioners deserve a better deal, arguing that they “must not have only the right to live, but the right to live well”.

Jones notes several needed amendments to the current pension, placing his arguments alongside those of the TGWU and explains why the State Pension is failing so wholeheartedly for so many people, encompassing issues of inflation and rising house costs. Jones uses economic forecasts to show how the government can afford to increase the size of state pensions, to be financed primarily through taxation.
